Virginia Tourism Public Relations team invited media to Virginia for a three-day familiarization tour exploring the Greater Williamsburg area to enjoy Virginia’s rich food culture and history scene followed by a table session media dinner on the pier at Jamestown Settlement with Richmond chefs Joe Sparatta and Lee Gregory of restaurants Heritage, The Roosevelt and Southbound.
The dinner event focused on the history and heritage of Virginia’s cuisine, wine, cider, beer and spirits—dating all the way back to when the first colonists arrived on our shores from England. Each course was prepared with fresh, local ingredients that have long been native to the Commonwealth, and paired well with Virginia wine, beer, spirits and cider.
